In a first-of-its-kind venture, Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau acquired Fletcher & Associates Insurance Services, Inc. In late 2022 the agency moved its office location from Marysville into the Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau’s building in Yuba City. Regulators have now approved a change in name to Farm West Insurance Services.

 

The insurance agency was founded over 20 years ago by Randy Fletcher, and offers a variety of commercial, farm & crop, worker’s compensation, auto, home, flood and life insurance policies. Fletcher, and the entire staffing team, stayed in the transition and continue to offer the same points-of-contact and customer service as before.

 

Established in 1919, Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau’s mission is to protect and promote family farms and ranches in our region. Members of the Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau board were selected to serve as the corporate board for the insurance agency.

 

“This is truly a win-win scenario. It provides an immediate benefit for our members and provides for the long-term sustainability of Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau,” said Mike Denny, Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau Vice President and the insurance agency’s corporate Board President. “Our members have access to personalized policies and local customer service. The profit from the agency will benefit our local Farm Bureau membership instead of a faceless corporation.”

 

Fletcher has been a member of the Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau since 1979. The majority of Fletcher’s customers are ag-based.

 

“Six years ago I began working with Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau discussing the possibility of this venture and I’m proud to see it become a reality,” said Fletcher. “As Farm West Insurance Services now, we can remain dedicated to providing peace of mind and security for all our clients for generations to come.”
